Two worlds - 두 개의 세상 - In this autographical except about her childhood in Peru, Gabriella de Ferrari write about how her mother, neighbor senorita Luisa, and her maid Saturnina look at the world. 이 자서전에는 Gabriella de Ferrari의 페루에서의 어린시절을 제외하고 그녀의 어머니, 세뇨리타 루이자 와 그녀의 하녀인 사투리나가 세상을 어떻게 보는지에 대해서 서술하였다. <1> Early in life I realized that there were two very different ways of looking at the world, my parent`s and Senorita Luisa`s. What she told me was what I assumed the world outside my house believed. At home what I was told was what people believed in that faraway place where my parents came from. I kept them separate and functioned accordingly, never suffering from the difference, at least while I was young and the lines were so easy to draw. Yet Senorita Luisa`s world, together with that of the maids in the kitchen, was far more seductive than the rational world of my parents. I liked curses and miracles, and praying for a handsome husband, and buying up heaven. 어린시절 나는 내 부모님과 세뇨리타의 전혀 다른 방식으로 세상을 보는것을 깨달았다. 나는 세뇨리타가 말해주었던 것은 우리 집 밖의 사람들이 믿었던것이라고 추측하였다 집에서 내가 들은 것은 내 부모님이 태어나신 먼 곳의 사람들이 믿는 것이었다.  나는 두 세계를 분리시켜서 각각에 따라 기능하게 했기 때문에, 그 차이 때문에 문제를 갖지는 않았다. 적어도 내가 어릴 때 경계를 갖기 쉬울때는 그랬다. 그러나 세뇨리타와 주방에서 일하는 하녀들이 믿는 세상은 내 부모님의 합리적인 세상보다는 더 매력적이었다. 나는 저주와 기적, 그리고 멋진 남편과 천국에 가기를 기원하는 것을 좋아했다.
